Curb Appeal
Start with the exterior of your home, better known as your curb appeal. Take a fresh look at the outside of your home from a quick glance from the street. What do you notice first? What great features seem hidden?
Understanding this helps us to decide what we can do to attract buyers from the street and into your house. If your home isn't pretty on the outside with refreshed paint and bright garden plants we'll need to address those issues. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and elevate your house's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Can buyers see themselves lounging in your living space, relaxing in your reading nook or hosting a dinner in your eat-in kitchen? We want your home to welcome buyers and give them a sense of comfort. I'll help you accomplish this by recommending small improvements that highlight the features of your property.
I'll tell you get rid of anything that gives the illusion of clutter. Surface areas like tables, desks and counters should be clutter-free. Arts and crafts, souvenirs, family photos, and kids' drawings should get moved out of sight. We need to give mass appeal to the place so buyers can perceive it as their new place.
I'll look over every room of your home. I'll note the pieces of furniture that should be removed, rooms that need new paint, rugs needing to get changed, fixtures that could use shining, and any other improvement that can inexpensively be made to positively influence the sale.
Buyers like a house that seems comfortable. Decor that could be "offensive" should go into storage so that your house will have have general appeal at the open house.

Setting the Stage
At your Open House, we want to engage the buyer's senses. Brightness is critical and we'll part the curtains, and add lighting where needed to show off your house. We'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests look around your home and make sure a pleasant aroma circulates throughout your house. We'll make use of cozy-looking throws, and throw pillows on your chairs and bedding. Buyers should feel like your current place is their future home. |
